The Toyo-Field 45CF/CFL is an impressive mix of large format capabilities and affordability combined in an ultra- lightweight housing. Toyo, the leader in field and rail large format cameras, designed the new 45CFL field camera based on classic design elements from proven workhorse cameras, such as the legendary Speed/Crown Graphic and Toyo 45AII and AX series. When every ounce counts, the 45CFL is the perfect choice for on-location 4x5 shooting. Utilizing lightweight Polycarbonate/carbon-fiber material, the 45CFL is up to 40% lighter than equivalent metal field cameras without compromise in stability. Compact and portable, it can easily be stored in a backpack or camera bag, yet it's tough enough to handle the challenges of field or studio work. The economically priced 45CFL is the ideal choice for beginners looking for the image quality and control of large format. It's also an attractive solution for the professional on-the-go, who needs reliable results with the benefits of a lightweight, compact system.
As you would expect, the Toyo-Field 45CF/CFL incorporates the necessary camera movements that provide creative control and technical perfection, that only a large format camera can offer. Camera movements include front standard rise and fall, tilt, swing and shifts, along with drop-bed adjustment, offering control of depth-of-field, perspective and distortion. The 45CF/CFL includes a versatile tapered bellows, which provides extensive front standard movements while enabling compact bellows compression for portability. A full range of focal length lenses ranging from a 90mm wide angle to a 400mm telephoto, are fully compatible when mounted on a flat lens board with the 45CF/CFL. With either the Rodenstock 150 f/6.3 or 210 f/6.8 lenses mounted, the 45CF/CFL conveniently folds for travel. A unique lens window shows which lens is mounted without the need to open the camera. Similar to other Toyo field cameras, the 45CF/CFL also accepts roll film backs and digital backs via its built-in Graflok slider locks. Other features included are a dual-spirit bubble level, accessory shoe, 6x7 and 6x9 ground glass format markings and both a 1/4-20 and 3/8" tripod mount.

Movements for Creative Image Control |
| The 45CF/CFL offers creative image control ideal for field use, as well as many studio applications. The front standard offers rise, swing, tilt and shift. The rear offers tilt. With these controls, correction of distortion, adjustment of depth-of-field, and manipulation of selective focus are all possible. |

Front Tilt
Tilting the lens stage forward or backward will extend the plane-of-focus far beyond the effects of using small lens aperture. This adjustment allows near and far objects to be in focus at the same time. |

Swinging or rotating the front lens stage left or right will extend the plane-of-focus far beyond the effects of using small lens aperture. This adjustment allows near and far objects to be in focus at the same time. |

Front Rise
Raising or lowering the front lens stage alters the camera lens' point-of-view. This movement effectively raises or lowers the positions of the image relative to the film without tilting the entire camera up or down. This adjust allows for the control of convergence of vertical lines within a scene and maintaining lines parallel in a photograph. |

Left and right movements of the front lens stage alters the camera lens' point-of-view. This movement effectively repositions the image left or right relative to the film without moving the entire camera left or right. Compendium Lens Hoods
A lens hood is essential for the elimination of extraneous light and flare, which can seriously deteriorate image contrast and sharpness. It is particularly important when working in the outdoors where sun and bright skies can cause flare in even the finest multi-coated lenses. The Toyo Pro Compendium Lens Hood works with a wide variety of lens brands and focal lengths, and flexibly adjusts regardless of the lens position or camera movement used. It also features a swing-up mount for easy access to shutter controls. Since large format cameras accept a wide selection of lenses from many manufacturers, you might need a variety of filter sizes. The Toyo Pro Compendium Lens Hood provides an elegant solution with the use of standard gel filter holders, both 3" and 4". Additionally, optional Extension Rods (#180-604) can be used with the built-in mount frame to extend the hood out further for very long lenses.

Digital Back Adapter & Quick Sliding Roll Film Back Adapter & Accessories
The TOYO/KODAK DCS 465 Digital and regular TOYO QS adapter have a carriage that slides a digital back or roll film back and ground glass in and out of place for fast change from ground glass focusing to shooting. Built-in dark slide engages when ground glass is in film plane. Fresnel lens and acid-etched focusing screen are included.
180-832 version accepts the KODAK DCS 456 Digital Back only. Shutter adapter supplied by KODAK dealers, replaces the TOYO 4x5 ground glass back.

Focusing Hoods
Focusing hoods eliminate the need for focusing cloths. In the field, where wind and other elements can pose problems, focusing hoods are highly effective and convenient. Toyo offers several solutions. Interchangeable on all Toyo 4x5 cameras, all Toyo focusing hoods feature a fast attaching spring-loaded pin and lock design. They also swing away from the ground glass for easy access to the entire focusing screen when using a focusing magnifier or loupe.

 TOYO Fresnel Lens 4x5 replacement
The Monocular Focusing Hood has a single 1.5x magnifying eyepiece mounted atop a flexible rubber hood for light-weight and compact packing. It eliminates all extraneous light and can be used for corner-to-corner viewing of the ground glass. When detached from the camera, it can also be used as a magnifier for viewing an entire 4x5 transparency or negative on a light box.
